Welcome Home Midwifery Services, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing accessible midwifery care and clinical midwifery training. The goal of our organization and our staff is to help facilitate safe, legal, and humanized healthcare, including cooperation and collaboration in the care of a client following a transfer from an out-of-hospital setting. We deeply appreciate providers and hospitals who also facilitate this collaboration.
Some information about Licensed Midwives: Licensed Midwives are autonomous care providers of low-risk people throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and 6 weeks postpartum. Healthy newborn care to 6 weeks of age also falls within the scope of practice of the Licensed Midwife. Licensed Midwives are neither required by law or training nor expected to have physician supervision.
