Membership

We have transitioned to offering a one-time membership fee. 

Membership provides long-term support for our mission, as well as day-to-day support for the operations of our small organization.

Members of Welcome Home Midwifery Services, Inc. receive voting privileges, eligibility for nomination to our Board of Directors, and access to education materials (including free skills trainings for MEAC-enrolled Student Midwives).

WHMS Member Benefits


  • Voting Privileges (1 vote per membership) at quarterly Advisory Board Meetings, shaping the direction and inertia of our small organization.
  • Referrals for clients via the WHMS referral coordinator, WHMS Resource List & the WHMS Advisory Board Facebook Group.
  • For MEAC-enrolled midwifery students: free admission to skills trainings (including venipuncture, IV skills, pelvic exams) with WHMS.
  • ​One vendor booth or table at our Annual Fundraiser if desired
  • Eligibility for nomination on the Board of Directors of Welcome Home Midwifery Services, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Fees:
  • One-time membership fee of $250. This fee allows WHMS staff to provide free and low-cost midwifery care to low-income families in our region, while providing clinical training to student midwives from marginalized communities. 
    Partial fee waivers are available to low-income community members.
