About Our Lactation Provider
Madeleine Wisner is a midwife and lactation consultant who has worked with families since 2010.  She prioritizes providing clinically excellent, respectful, trauma-informed care in partnership with families and their babies.

Prenatal Lactation Services
Our provider can meet with you before your baby is born to become acquainted with you and answer questions about infant feeding and lactation. Prenatal services can include but are not limited to the following:
  • Discussing your pertinent medical history, social history, and infant feeding and lactation goals as well as any concerns or questions you may have
  • Recommending specialized educational resources to help you prepare for your infant feeding and lactation journey
  • Discussing and developing an infant feeding and lactation support plan together

Postpartum Services
The first visit can also occur after the baby is born if you are seeking help with infant feeding and lactation.
Our provider can help with feeding challenges such as...
  • milk supply issues
  • latching challenges
  • assessment of tethered oral tissue (such as tongue and lip tie)
  • painful or bleeding nipples or breasts
  • clogged ducts
  • mastitis
  • concerns regarding weight gain for your baby
  • infants with extra-special needs

Accessible Services
Clients assigned to Nivano Physicians IPA and River City Medical Group can book visits with no copay or share of cost.
If you have Medi-Cal but are not assigned to either of these groups, our midwife can refer you to an IBCLC who can help.
If you would like to use your private insurance to pay for your care, please request a visit with Madeleine Wisner via The Lactation Network.
